Week 5 Lecture and Tutorial

Internet Delivered Films

Now that the internet is reaching many many more audiences than was once thought there is this big space to be filled by providing consumers with films and series that are seen only via the internet. I found this fantastic website that shows film festivals all around the world and also outlines and provides links to those which are only online as well. The website is called the Film Festival Source. . Not only do they vary in quality but they give access to amateur filmmakers all over the world who may be without the convergent and advanced technology that are required in so many of the worlds biggest film festivals eg Cannes film festival, some of the movies shown here cost millions of dollars to make and only few are provliged enough to have access to these resources and the opportunity to show their movies to a selective crowd of people. Whereas internet delivered films cover a greater array of people watching these films and contributing to the art of amateur film making. I am personally so excited that the internet has given amateur film makers like myself an opportunity to show the world our composition pieces and the access to upload these to online film festival websites.

Here are three of my favourite short films from a selection of online film festival sites:
1st: Passion for Cinema is an online film festival (pfc one) The online film festival for one minute movies.

2nd Movie:
another winner from the pfc awards:

and my favourite of all for its super clever concepts is also from the one minute pfc awards:
